Should cloning be allowed?

What do you mean by cloning? O.o full human cloning?

Anything being cloned from a cell to a human and the things inbetween.

I do not support cloning as a whole because I dont think we can be trusted with making life like that. I know that if we allow cloning in a small way it will only be a matter of time before it is used to make armies and to create any number of weird and wonderfull things. I just do not think it is safe to trust our excessively evil human race with it, and think it is a very dangerous thing to do.

I very much agree. Such a technology getting in the wrong hands would be bad too. But, the world has already regonized scientists for cloning. I wonder what some really malicious people are thinking right now....

Who is to say what wrong hands are? I would say the American government is wrong hands and in that sense it is already in the wrong hands.

True, true. I guess in the hands of any human, such power would be used as a weapon.

It also belittles human life quite a bit I find. Life is special, it isnt something that can just be thrown around like this =/ it ignores any kind of spirtuality and invidualism, it just makes us animals or meat.

talking about us being meat, do you know how many people die a year because they cant find the organs they need to be transplanted into them? if you could grow a healthy liver for transplant it would save so many people.

See this is why cloning is a good thing and I agree with that, but my problem is that a line has to be drawn. If we give into cloning to help sick people thats fine but bit by bit more and more lines will be crossed until you get to a point when whole humans are being cloned for parents with missing children and things like that. There is also the point that many times organs and such can only be harvested if a full human clone is made. Is it acceptable to create a human to only harvest organs? O.o

Well if they cant all it would take is a cloning lab and a doctor who stays up late one evening to play around =/ its just not safe. I would rather the whole thing is outlawed o.o

So you do not think that there is any difference between us and animals? Animals have not created art, music, theology, philosophy... humans are different than just animals.

yes animals are not artists, but not all humans are either, they still have charectoristics. some humans dont contribute a thing where some dogs guide the blind. i would say its ok to clone parts of people but not crate a person

a monkey doesnt need a house, they live without poluting the world. i agree humans are above animals

We are in the image of God, we have the ability to know right from wrong and the free will to choose. We are different from the other animals.

Very true. Odd to think God gave us what we have. We could be below other creatures, such as those that are more intelligent than we. And most creatures have something of free will, but we can change the world with ours.
